Back to my favorite topic…shoes!  Yes, I know it’s a bit profound, but even if you’re not used to such intellectual depth, please read on.. :O)

Shoe Trends

1. Platform

They stand out  because they literally stand taller than the rest.  Great way to add height (lol) and glam up a look. 

 

No one does it like Victoria Beckham in these pink platforms.

 

Heidi Klum also loves her platforms, as witnessed on Project Runway.

2.  The Wedge

Wedges can be worn with jeans and a tee or with a flirty, flowy frock.   I particularly fancy gladiator wedges.

3. Buckles

Strap ‘em in ladies.  This hardware detail is very big this Spring/Summer, especially on wedges.

4.  Zipper Details

Zippers are not just hot for your handbags right now, but also for shoes. 

 

 

 Balmain has the most amazing shoes.

5. Clogs

Mine are mule/clog-esque.

6. Embellishments

Shoes adorned with jewels, studs, or any and all things.  This was a huge trend on the runways.  What was one of the hottest shoe amongst celebs last year?
